Mark Cuban Makes Deal Between AXS.TV and CBS; Says "The future of TV is TV"

Variety reports that CBS Television and AXS.TV have made a deal to become partners.

AXS.TV has 38 million subscribers according to the report.  The company, owned by Cuban, Creative Artist Agency (CAA), and Ryan Seacrest Media, rebranded last year, changing its name from HD NET..

CBS CEO Leslie Moonves says, "CBS is happy to provide AXS TV with live event content as the basis of this partnership... This is an innovative way to use our tentpole programming to gain more ownership in the cable network business. AXS TV will now serve as a terrific complement to our existing broadcast television entertainment programming."

AXS.TV CEO Mark Cuban says, "CBS brings the industry's best and most respected resources and experience to AXS TV which will accelerate our growth and realization of our vision that, 'The future of TV is TV.'"
