Eddie Van Halen was recently photographed in the studio and now it's confirmed that he's working on new material. But there's a twist...
Last night at SXSW in Austin, LL Cool J reveled that the guitar god will be a guest performer on his upcoming album, Authentic, which is set for official release on April 30th. Other guests that LL Cool J reveled last night were Tom Morello and Snoop Dogg. The track is rumored to be called "Getting Paper." It seems like this is the week to announce surprise collaborations as yesterday
we noted Elton John and Fall Out Boy reveled they too are working together on an album.
Perhaps not too surprising, when you consider that Van Halen's got one of the best guitar sounds out there and he famously guested on Michael Jackson's "Beat It" in 1982. LL Cool J's classic sound includes loud raw guitars so we've got high hopes for their collaboration.
