Rob Zombie, noted rocker and horror film director, has found himself in some hot water over remarks made by his wife at a town meeting.

After the installation of a skatepark near the Zombie's Woodbury home in March of this year, Rob Zombie's wife, Sheri Moon Zombie, voiced her concerns about the noise generated by the park: "The skateboard park should not have been put there,” she said, according to the meeting's minutes. “Hollow Park is a huge park, we didn't know anything about this being put in, and were never notified."

"I am trying to go through the proper channels to get this resolved and I'm sorry to bring this up as I know most of you aren't affected by it," she went on. "There are only three or four homes affected by it, but now that summer’s here and the windows are open, I hear it inside my house, which is [the] furthest point away from the park and there's something that has got to be done."

Upon learning of the complaint, the blogosphere sprung into action with a series of articles reporting that Zombie himself "hates skaters and loud children." There have also been allegations of the Zombies receiving special treatment because of their celebrity status, although Woodbury's First Selectman Gerald 'Jerry' Stomski says otherwise.

“It makes no difference who the person is who complains,” he told the Woodbury Patch. “We would give them the same courtesy.”

Calling the dispute a "simple matter," Rob Zombie addressed the accusations on his Facebook page:

It seems nuts to even have to address this but I guess I will. Some really crazy articles have popped up making claims about "hating skaters" and "hating children" . None of this is true and it makes me sick that someone would print such lies.

There is a simple matter going on in which we are trying to find a solution that will make EVERYBODY happy. Unfortunately someone decided to turn it into a whole ugly event. What a bummer.

Although the sensational story has spread like wildfire, a cursory Google search would prove that there is no way Rob Zombie hates skaters. In 1998, he taught Jamie Foxx how to ollie. Case closed.
