CBGB is hosting its second annual music festival in New York, and in addition to the regular festivities, they've announced a special free concert in Times Square featuring My Morning Jacket, Grizzly Bear, Divine Fits, the Wallflowers, a James Murphy DJ set, and more.
The show, slated to take place on October 12th, begins at 10:00 AM EST. The official website says:
Live music & DJs will perform from multiple outdoor stages on Broadway while interactive installations like a music equipment expo, a skateboard half-pipe, rock climbing, a record fair, a silent disco and dozens of other attractions will fill Times Square to entertain people of all ages.
The actual festival takes place at dozens of venues throughout the city and runs October 8th through the 13th. You can find detailed schedule and ticket information at the official CBGB website.
