Pedro Reyes Transforms Weapons Into Musical Instruments in "Disarm" Art Exhibition [Videos]

Pedro Reyes is a Mexican artist who has recently put together an exhibition at the Lisson Gallery in London called Disarm where he's worked with others to turn weapons into musical instruments. Check out this very cool YouTube video by The Creator's project for more information:

At the heart of Disarm is the repurposing of weapons (mainly guns) into musical instruments. Those instruments have been played in concert, as well as set up with machines to play automatically. The project has taken on multiple layers. What could have been just sculpture has gone into multimedia in the form of live music performance and video installations.

Then there are also photographic prints on canvas imagining how weapons could be transformed. Check out Pedro Reyes' official website for pictures of all the beautiful art that was made for the exhibition.

Personally, my favorite part of the Disarm project is this video of a group of musicians jamming through Rage Against The Machine's "Bullet In The Head" on the instruments:

They also recorded an album produced by John Coxon, which was released on limited edition vinyl. More information on that in this video:
