This Wednesday, March 12th, Jay Z and Kanye West will perform together at the SXSW Festival in Austin Texas for a special event put together by Samsung. Only SXSW badge holders with a Samsung Galaxy phone are eligible for the ticket drawing.
It's also required for participants to download Samsung's new Milk music app which is only available on Android phones. Registration for the drawing begins on Tuesday beginning at 10am. After registration is over, the drawing will begin. Winners will be notified at least 12 hours before the concert. Right now, the concert location is undisclosed. Jay Z and Kanye West last performed together in support of their album Watch The Throne from 2011 to 2012. With a total gross of $75 million off 57 shows, that was the highest-grossing hip-hop tour of all-time according to Wikipedia.
Last year, Jay Z offered a million advance downloads of Magna Carta Holy Grail through Samsung Galaxy phones for a special 4th of July promotion. Samsung paid $5 per download, while their customers who were willing to divulge their personal information paid nothing more. Earlier in the summer of 2013, Kanye West released one of the most controversial rap albums of all time, Yeezus.
