The city of Miami will be taken over from March 27 through 29 by the Ultra Music Festival, one of the premier annual outdoor electronic music festivals in the country. Since launching in 1999, UMF has gone from a one-day festival, to a two-day festival in 2007, and became a three-day festival in 2011, showing its growth and popularity in the genre.

The top DJs and artists fly in from all over the world to play in downtown Miami in Bayfront Park. UMF is expected to have over 300,000 people enjoy some of the most popular music in the world over the three-day span. Some of the notable entertainers at this year’s event includes: Afrojack, Alesso, Armin Van Buuren, Avicii, David Guetta, Eric Prydz, Tiesto, Hardwell, Steve Aoki, Fedde Le Grand, and Skrillex.

According to international ticket reseller Ticketbis, a three-day pass to Ultra Music Festival has a get-in price of $416. The average price for a three-day pass is $745.52 with a one-day pass averaging $440.

Ultra is one of the most well produced festivals in the world and is held in the highest regard when it comes to EDM festivals. The growth continues to surprise and impress music followers from any genre, let alone EDM.

Local fans aren't the only ones attending this festival. People from all over the country fly in for the festival, and this has increasingly attracted an international audience as well. According to Ticketbis just about half of the 2015 Ultra Music Festival tickets in Miami have been sold to fans outside the United States. The top three international buyers include Argentina, Chile, and Japan, who each account for 16.7% of sales outside the US (50.1%).

The festival has come a long way since its inception in 1999, adding other Ultra festivals held in locations all over the globe. These locations include Ibiza, Buenos Aires, São Paulo, Santiago, Seoul, Cape Town, Johannesburg, Split, and Hvar. More recently, Ultra announced the first edition of a festival in Bogotá and one they refer to as Road to Thailand.

The festival has also had great success in Japan, which had its debut outing in September 2014. The show sold out more than 2 months in advance and brought in over 40,000 fans in Tokyo’s Odaiba Ultra Park. It was the largest electronic music event ever on Japanese soil. Ticketbis has Ultra one and three-day passes for Japan starting from $457.22 for the full festival and just over $182 for one-day passes. One of the top EDM festivals in the entire planet is waiting for you to have one of the greatest experiences in your lifetime. Whether it’s in the United States or overseas in its various locations, Ultra Music Festival is approaching, and bringing the most talented DJs in the planet to a venue near you.
