Riding high on the success of the recent "Fare Thee Well" reunion concerts in Chicago over the July 4th weekend, original Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Bill Kreutzmann, and Mickey Hart have announced the formation of a new group called Dead & Company. Rounding out the band will be guitarist John Mayer, bassist Oteil Burbridge, and keyboardist Jeff Chimenti.

Yesterday, the group announced that its first concert would be Halloween night at the legendary Madison Square Garden in New York City. Bob Weir told Billboard that more concerts can be expected.
