Indie pop artist Claire Cottrill, better known as Clairo, has shared the first single from her upcoming full-length album, Immunity. Listen to "Bags" above on YouTube.
Clairo has gained attention over the past couple of years with singles and EPs that showcase her emotional vocals with quirky and original songwriting. "Bags" continues the evolution of her style. Co-produced by Rostam Batmanglij (formerly of Vampire Weekend), the song features lush production with a lo-fi vibe and drums from Danielle Haim. The song's lyrics offer an intimate look into the rising singer-songwriter's style.
Clairo shared a heartfelt comment on her Facebook page, saying, "Thanks to everyone who could help me make this happen at all. It's been a long time since I've put out my own music, and I finally feel ready to show you all the music that I've always wanted to make.. so thank you for sticking around."
Immunity is scheduled to be released on August 2. Pick it up on Amazon.
