Before her concert at Madison Square Garden, Ellie Goulding stopped by Today this morning to perform her new song, “Beating Heart.” The song will be one of several of Goulding’s songs to be featured in the new film Divergent. The performance features the incredible vocals that Ellie Goulding has become known for.
During an interview with Today's Matt Lauer, Goulding explains how the song came to Hollywood:
“I had the song and I recorded it and I had given it to Greg Kurstin to produce it. I didn’t know they were going to use it for the film, but actually when I thought about it, it was kind of perfect and suited the whole theme.”
Divergent comes out in theaters on March 21.
