Hiss Golden Messenger, the country-tinged alt folk project of singer-songwriter MC Turner, has shared a new single off their upcoming Heart Like a Levee LP.
"Biloxi" is an understated, summery jam with a laid-back bass groove and twangy guitars that frame Turner's Dylan-meets-country vocals. The single is a promising look at a concept album inspired by the work of documentary photographer William Gedney, whose photography serves as the cover art for the album.
Heart Like a Levee is scheduled for release on October 7, 2016. Pick it up on Amazon.
