Atlanta's self described Flower Punks are in the studio recording a new record and recently bassist Jared Swilley told the Hollywood Reporter that Black Keys drummer Patrick Carney will be producing at least part of the album. The group recorded 2011’s Arabia Mountain with much sought after English producer Mark Ronson and in December guitarist Cole Alexander told MTV Hive that they sent some tracks to tracks to Ronson, but there has been no word whether anything came of them.

In typical Lips fashion, Swilley went on to describe the album as being a combination of “club bangers and southern rock anthems”, which knowing the Lips could be literally the case or complete bullshit. The bassist also revealed that long time band friend/collaborator/fellow ATLien Bradford Cox will participate on the as of yet unnamed record stating, "Bradford [Cox] from Deerhunter usually makes it on our albums in some capacity as well." Damn fine news.
