The Black Lips have released "Boys In The Wood," the first single off their upcoming album Underneath the Rainbow due out on March 18th, 2014 through VICE Records. Listen above.

The tune is a slow and heavy garage rocker, with touches of old school R&B and the weirdness you'd expect from a Black Lips song. Lyrically, there are a lot of references to booze - which seems appropriate. The layered guitars have an almost Lynyrd Skynyrd feel at times, which is a very good thing. There are no production credits listed with the song, but earlier reports have said that Underneath the Rainbow has been produced in part by The Black Keys' Patrick Carney.

The Black Lips' next scheduled concert is a New Year's Eve show at The Drunken Unicorn in Atlanta.
