Ozzy Osbourne's "Crazy Train" has been a staple in the Yonder Mountain String Band's repertoire for many years until recently. On July 20th at the Northwest String Summit in Oregon, the band performed the song for the first time in over a year. Additionally, it's the first performance without former member Jeff Austin, who parted ways earlier this year. Watch it above.
The band performs the song with energy and speed, staying true to the original version. Mandolin player Jake Jolliff replaces the Randy Rhoads guitar solo with a lightning fast mandolin solo. Also contributing to the tune is former Cornmeal fiddler Allie Kral. The band is all smiles as they rip through the tune at a high energy pace.
