Phantogram are a duo from upstate New York who specialize in groovy, seductive electro-pop. On February 18th, they will release Voices, their sophomore album, and today they've shared lead single "Fall In Love" with us.

With cinematic strings and a monstrous, distorted bassline paving the way, "Fall In Love" deftly combines elements of EDM, hip-hop and pop. The same could be said of any number of lackluster radio singles from 2013 (try will.i.am's recent "Feelin Myself"), but unlike many modern pop artists' oversimplification of distinct genres for the purpose of mass appeal, Phantogram seem determined to pay hefty tribute to each and every genre they throw in their stylistic blender. "Fall In Love" contains all of the following: stripped-down, jazzy sections that allow the strings and a keyboard room to breathe, tricky drum programming that resembles early Just Blaze beats, and of course, a chorus big enough to fill stadiums. It's pop music that's actually conscious of its influences. Imagine that.

Preorder Voices on iTunes, and stay tuned to Zumic for more from Phantogram.
