"Every night it's a party, ladies and gentlemen."
That's how David Letterman capped off this rocktacular performance by the Foo Fighters and Heart, performing Heart's "Kick It Out" from their 1977 album Little Queen.
Heart and the Foo Fighters both share roots in Seattle, and the backdrop behind the musicians showed a picture of the iconic Space Needle. Ann and Nancy Wilson pretty much run the show, getting strong support from Dave Grohl (hair flying all over the place), Taylor Hawkins (drums), Chris Shiflett (lead guitar), Pat Smear (rhythm guitar), Nate Mendel (bass), and Rami Jaffee (keys).
The Sonic Highways album is due out on November 10th, 2014. It's available to order on Amazon. The Sonic Highways TV show premieres on HBO this Friday, October 17th.
