Jello Biafra's long-standing independent record label, Alternative Tentacles, just released their 2014 sampler and it's a doozy.

The record is 51 tracks of unadulterated madness, with cuts from a diverse cross section of bands -- from the bitter punk rock of Jello Biafra and the Guantanamo School of Medicine to the insane Casio-keyboard rock of Wesley Willis to the gothic gospel of Slim Cessna's Auto Club. Citizen Fish and Subhumans make an appearance from across the pond and Brooklyn's Alice Donut contribute their garage radness. The comp is about 15% Jello, too, with song by Lard and Tumor Circus, as well as collaborations with the Melvins, Mojo Nixon, and more. Truly Alternative Tentacles for beginners.
