Earlier this month, Broken Bells stopped by the KEXP studios in Seattle to record a live session and interview. You can watch the performance above.
The acoustic-driven dance number "After The Disco" starts off the set before going into their 2010 hit single, "The High Road." Multi-layered vocals weave in and out of Danger Mouse's hypnotizing drum beats on the tune. A somber take of "Holding On For Life" sets the mood for the next song, "Angel And The Fool," which highlights James Mercer's storytelling vocals.
An interview follows the performances and we hear a little about the friendship of and their roles in the collaboration. James confesses his surprise of the positive responses he received when he announced his involvement with Danger Mouse. Fans will be happy to hear that the group plan to put out a third album in the future.
