The Ed Sullivan Theater was unusually dark for Spoon's performance last night. Watch the Austin, TX indie rockers play "Inside Out" from their 2014 album, They Want My Soul, via David Letterman's official YouTube channel.

The performance is ambient and psychedelic. Britt Daniel is completely on point as his gritty vocal performance drives the song while keyboards swirl over a steady groove from the drums and bass. At the end, Letterman jokes that bass player Rob Pope must make the most money - funny because he only played about 3 different notes during the whole song.
