Scheduled for a November 18th release, a tribute album called The Art of McCartney will feature versions of Beatles and Paul McCartney songs performed by some of the biggest heavyweights in music. Above, you can listen to Alice Cooper's version of "Eleanor Rigby."

The song is a classic and Alice doesn't stray far from the original in his remake. We hear the string quartet in the background as he sings the lyrics that deal with loneliness. The video is also straight forward, as we see Alice singing in a studio with psychedelic blankets hanging. His double-tracked vocals are matched by doubling his image in the video. It's an interesting listen to hear one of metal's greats sing this pop song.

Other artists featured on the tribute album include Bob Dylan, Kiss, Billy Joel, Willie Nelson, Smokey Robinson, Brian Wilson, Heart, and many others. You can listen to The Cure's spot-on take of "Hello Goodbye" here on Zumic.

Cooper's version of "Eleanor Rigby" is now available as an instant download for people who pre-order The Art of McCartney from the official website. For further music, news, and tour information on Alice Cooper, check out his Zumic artist page.
