Knowledge is power, especially when facing Ebola.

You can listen to idiots like Chris Brown who claim the disease is form of population control but the rest of us will probably pay attention to those called "medical professionals." No matter which side you may take, Ebola is still devastating West Africa. The song above, "Ebola is Real," is a collaboration between Liberian artists F.A., Soul Fresh, and DenG, to help spread awareness about the virus.

Although the song has synths, auto-tune, and a catchy beat, it is very stark with its warnings. In the lyrics, the artists repetitively make it clear that Ebola is now in Liberia and that listeners need to protect their community. They also instruct listeners to wash their hands, avoid touching bodily fluids, and how to properly dispose of a dead body. The power of music may not bring a cure, but it can bring prevention.

NPR has talked to Elliott Adekoya, a DJ based in Monrovia, for their All Things Considered segment about the latest Ebola related music.
