Apparently, jail cannot stop Meek Mill from releasing a new song. On July 11, he was sentenced to 3 to 6 months behind bars for a parole violation. Yesterday evening, the incarcerated Philly rapper's Twitter handle announced, "F#@K YOU MEAN BOI," to let his fans know that new music was coming. The single,"Fuck You Mean," from his upcoming sophomore album, Dreams Worth More Than Money, was released on the Dreamchasers Records SoundCloud page last night. The track features Baton Rouge rapper Lil Boosie, now going by Boosie Badazz, who was released from prison earlier this year.
If you're thinking that Meek Mill may have released a slow-tempo, emotional song about being incarcerated, guess again. The Philly rapper has not deviated from his energetic, aggressive style with simple, fast-paced hooks. Boasting about money, expensive clothes, and beautiful women is what Meek does best. Boosie's similar in-your-face style complements Meek's delivery as well as the hard-hitting, J.Oliver-produced backing track.
