Soundgarden are getting ready to release a career-spanning box set of rarities called Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path. In anticipation, they've shared "Twin Tower," which you can listen to above.

Written by drummer Matt Cameron, the jarring, dissonant track is entirely instrumental. It was written and recorded during the sessions that would make up Soundgarden's 1989 LP, Louder Than Love, but it didn't make the final cut. The whirling guitar sounds and schizophrenic rhythms sound slightly out of place in the context of the original album, but the tone and musicianship match up exactly.

The three-disc Echo Of Miles: Scattered Tracks Across The Path is out November 24th. The set will contain one disc of originals, one disc of covers, and one disc of "oddities" like the above "Twin Tower." It is available for pre-order through Amazon (CD, MP3) and iTunes.
