Next year, Phosphorescent, aka Matthew Houck, will be releasing a live album called Live at the Music Hall. It will include songs from the his four-show run last December at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn, New York. Above, you can listen to the live version of "Los Angeles."

It's a moody ballad, dark and full of attitude. The song swells in emotional waves, and is driven by Houck's earthy vocals. Mesmerizing organ and guitar solos are featured midway through, allowing you to get comfortably lost in the song's texture. At ten minutes long, this version of "Los Angeles" is a slow and steady piece of work that highlights the musicianship of the band.

Live at the Music Hall will include 19 tracks that span a decade's worth of material from the band. The album will be released on February 17th via Dead Oceans. It is currently available for pre-order on iTunes.
