Rising star Charli XCX has shared a video for "Breaking Up," the fourth track from her upcoming album, Sucker. The video was directed by BRTHR, and features animation, candy hearts, and bowling. Watch it above via YouTube.
It's a pop rock anthem dedicated to all the girls who've ever dumped an asshole boyfriend. Charli breaks up with Patrick, then celebrates with her friends at a bowling alley, which quickly turns into a rock party. Visual stimulation is provided by colorful candy hearts, neon lights, and cartoon characters. Catchy guitar chords and electronic beats pump life into this tune, and the chanting chorus, "Everything was wrong with you / So breaking up was easy to do," will have you singing along.
Charli XCX has previously shared videos for "Boom Clap," "Break The Rules," and "London Queen."
Sucker will be released on December 15th in the USA and January 26th in Europe. You can pre-order the album through Amazon (CD, MP3) and iTunes.
