Today, The Afghan Whigs have shared an official music video for their song, "The Lottery." The video is dedicated to the band's monitor engineer, Ryan O'Hara. Watch the clip above via YouTube.
While the band plays the song live, we see Ryan working his magic behind the soundboard. As the song progresses, so do his moves. He sings, dances, and lets himself go free as the song rocks on. It doesn't matter if he's in a small space or not, he will bust a move. Clearly, it's a job that Ryan loves.
On the Afghan Whigs Facebook page, singer Greg Dulli said the following about Ryan O'Hara:
Meet Ryan O'Hara, our monitor engineer and cougar magnet. He wakes up everyday with a smile on his face and something positive to share with you. Every night during the gig he performs a parallel show behind the board and it's phenomenal to watch. Occasionally, I'll forget to sing because I'm watching him turn into Bez from Happy Mondays. But that's rock and roll for you. It keeps you young.
"The Lottery" is from the band's 2014 release, Do to the Beast, and you can listen to it here on Zumic. Pick up the album on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.
