Recently, Dave Matthews and frequent collaborator Tim Reynold's played a couple of shows together at the Paramount Theatre in Oakland, California. One of the songs the duo performed was "Dancing Nancies," from the 1994 Dave Matthews Band album Under the Table and Dreaming. You can watch their acoustic performance above via YouTube.
Dave and Tim have been performing together for many years, so to see the chemistry the two share while playing is something magical. Dave starts the song with some under-the-breath words while teasing the song's beginning. Once the two get going, they slowly build the energy up, only to bring it back down. To say Tim Reynolds is a skilled guitarist is an understatement, as his fingerwork during the solo is lightning fast. The song's ending is abrupt and masterfully timed, wanting the listener to hear more even after 8 minutes.
The Dave Matthews Band have also announced a massive 2015 tour with nearly 50 concerts. Each concert will feature an acoustic set and an electric set.
