There's a timeless quality to Blackberry Smoke. At first glance, the band are a throwback to the great Southern rock bands of the '70s. After becoming more familiar with them, you begin to appreciate how they've developed a sound that is modern and very much their own. Their style of guitar driven melodic rock is about as likely to go out of style as cheeseburgers and beer.

The Atlanta-based group has been touring constantly since 2010 as one of the premier southern rock bands on the planet. On February 10th, they'll be releasing a brand new album called Holding All The Roses. You can stream the full album on Pandora by clicking the album cover above.

Holding All The Roses is an album that is nothing short of kick-ass. Infectious grooves, sing-along choruses, and fiery guitar chops are all plentiful. Recommended tracks include "Let Me Help You (Find the Door)," "Holding All The Roses," "Living In The Song," "Rock and Roll Again," "Woman In The Moon," "Too High," and "No Way Back to Eden."

The rock attitude that the band delivers is like mother's milk for those of us who love the sound of an amp cranked to 11. It's not all about the electrified guitars though, as the band balances that out with some softer moments and acoustic finesse.

Blackberry Smoke consists of Charlie Starr (Lead Vocals, Guitar), Paul Jackson (Guitar, Vocals), Brit Turner (Drums), Richard Turner (Bass, Vocals), and Brandon Still (Keyboards). For the album, they're joined by producer Brendan O'Brien (who adds some backing vocals, percussion, and keys), Anne Marie Simpson (fiddle / strings), and The Billy Jacks (backing vocals).

Holding All The Roses is the band's first release on Rounder Records. You can purchase it on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3) and iTunes.
