Bob Dylan has shared a music video for "The Night We Called It A Day," a song originally published in 1941. The track is from his recently released Frank Sinatra covers album, Shadows In The Night. Watch it above.
Directed by Nash Edgerton, the black and white video is an homage to film noir suspense thrillers. Starring alongside Bob Dylan is actor Robert Davi and burlesque dancer / actress Tracy Phillips. Together, the three find themselves entangled in a messy love affair that can only mean trouble. The jazzy vibe of the song compliments the deceitfulness found in the video, and Dylan's smokey vocals recall that bygone era.
It should be noted that Robert Davi made his motion picture debut in 1977's Contract On Cherry Street, in which he shared the screen with Frank Sinatra and launched his professional singing career in 2011 with his album, Davi Sings Sinatra.
Shadows In The Night is currently available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
