Björk's 2015 album, Vulnicura, has already been released digitally, but the physical release isn't due out until March 23. Earlier today, Björk uploaded a "moving album cover" video paired with the song "Family" to her YouTube account. This visual follows the video for "Lionsong," which was released last week.
As an official piece of album art, this clip works to represent the entire album in its 2:35 duration. Björk is seen bent into a terribly uncomfortable position and turned to stone before resurrecting, sewing herself up, and emerging from a cocoon cloaked in all white. This illustrates the healing process of the romantic break-up that inspired the album.
Vulnicura is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
