Alabama rapper Yelawolf teamed up with label boss Eminem for a tender, spiritual song titled "Best Friend." The track will be featured on Yelawolf's upcoming album Love Story, which will be released on April 21st.
It's hard to believe that the "Just Don't Give a Fuck" rapper is featured on a song that encourages a relationship with God. Produced by WillPower, "Best Friend" features an emotional Yelawolf rapping about his faith in God as well as his spiritual upbringing over a smooth, southern, acoustic guitar driven melody. Eminem may have stolen the show with his long, fast-paced verse at the end. He raps:
God, please could you arm me with the armor
To calm me when there's drama like Gandhi?
Could have gone the other way many times
Could have turned Dalai with the lama
Fun fact: P. Diddy also released a song titled "Best Friend" in 1999 which showcased his spirituality.
Yelawolf's album Love Story came out this week, and is now available on Amazon.
