In conjunction with Record Store Day on Saturday, April 18th, record label Robotic Empire will be releasing their second Nirvana tribute album, Whatever Nevermind. One of the tracks on that album is a cover of "On A Plain" performed by Virginia band Pygmy Lush. Listen to it above.

The band transform the original grunge heavy version into a longer, more haunting piece. Instead of loud guitar and screams, Pygmy Lush open the song with relaxed, echoed vocals and gently strummed chords. Near the two minute mark is when the band explodes with distorted guitars, bringing aggression into the track. The tune climaxes towards the end with a sonic jam that would have probably made Kurt Cobain proud.

Robotic Empire previously shared a version of "Drain You" covered by Circa Survive. You can listen to that here on Zumic.
