Today, Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards has shared a third single from his upcoming solo album, Crosseyed Heart. Listen to the funky "Substantial Damage" above, via Spotify.
The track grooves with funky guitar strumming while Steve Jordan lays down a solid drum groove. Horns and keyboards fill out the rhythm behind Keith's spoken word lyrics about the pains of love.
Previous cuts Keith has shared from the new album include "Amnesia" and "Trouble."
Earlier this year, Richards told Rolling Stone that a tour in support of Crosseyed Heart is possible:
At the moment, I'm just getting my head into the Stones and I haven't really thought about what I'm going to do afterwards. But usually if I put a record out, I do some road work. So, it's possible.
Crosseyed Heart will be released on September 18, 2015. Pick it up on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
