Today, California punk band FIDLAR released their second studio album, Too, via Mom + Pop Records. The LP was produced by Jay Joyce and recorded in Nashville over the span of two weeks.
The 12 song album is 42 minutes of punk rock with influences including surf rock, garage, grunge, hard rock, psychedelic, and pop.
Guitarist and lead vocalist Zac Carper shared some insight about the making of the album for Mom + Pop:
We could have made record number one again, but instead we decided to challenge ourselves and admit that we don’t know everything. Up until this point we had recorded everything ourselves, so working with a producer taught us so much. I didn’t want to make a standard rock record. The goal for this album was to think outside the box and I think Jay really helped us do that.
Tracks we recommend include "40oz. On Repeat," "West Coast," "Leave Me Alone," "Drone," and "Stupid Decisions."
