Adele has chosen to unveil the 2nd song from her upcoming 25 album with a live performance video from The Church Studios in London. Watch "When We Were Young" above, via the singer's official YouTube.

This is a very cool video, and a flawless performance. Directed by Paul Dugdale, we're treated to a rare intimate look in the studio. Adele shows her vocal chops, going from silky smooth to soulful and gritty. The band, meanwhile, compliment the song beautifully with lots of subtle touches that allow the vocals to shine as the energy builds to a powerful crescendo. It's a haunting ballad similar to "Someone Like You."

Adele explained the meaning behind the song, which was co-written with Tobias Jesso Jr., during a SiriusXM Town Hall event recently:

It was kind of based on being older and being at a party... at this house, and seeing everyone that you’ve ever fallen out with, everyone that you’ve ever loved, everyone that you’ve never loved... You can't find the time to be in each other's lives, and you’re all thrown together at this party when you’re like 50, and it doesn’t matter and you have so much fun and you feel like you’re 15 again... My favorite lyrics in it is "You look like a movie / You sound like a song / My God, this reminds me / Of when we were young."

This follows the first single from the album, "Hello," which immediately shot up the charts as the #1 song in the world last month.

25 will be out November 20, 2015, and is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3).
