Destiny's Child lyrics, Joey Cook's jazzy vocals, and Postmodern Jukebox's retro vibe come together for a fun new version of the 1999 hit song "Say My Name." Watch it above, on YouTube.

Postmodern Jukebox is a Scott Bradlee project where singers come in and cover pop music in an "Old Hollywood" way. Watching a Postmodern Jukebox performance is like opening up a time capsule filled with old records, presenting you with todays lyrics strung along the musical sounds of the past.

"Say My Name" is originally by Destiny's Child, featuring Beyonce, Kelly Rowland, and Michelle Williams. The single was the most successful song out of the five studio albums they released, making it hard to beat, but Joey Cook's performance comes close.

Cook was a contestant on American Idol earlier this year, where she made a name for herself with a folky, jazzy sound. Making the song her own, the 24-year-old modulates to bring you all the way to the 1960s.

If you enjoyed this cover and want to be transported to the past with more sounds like this, Postmodern Jukebox are on a world tour! For information on that check out pmjlive.com.
