While rockers of the past would crave nicotine, Courtney Barnett can't get enough MSG.
The Australian singer-songwriter shared a new song revealing her insatiable appetite for instant ramen noodles, "Three Packs a Day." Listen above.
Barnett is known for her witty song topics, long-winding lyrics, and sarcastic singing style. "Three Packs a Day" consists of all of these traits wrapped up in a lively tune. Along with catchy melodies and foot tapping beats, a harmonica is added, giving the song more of a folky character.
"Three Packs a Day" will be part of the Milk! Records compilation album, Good For You. The release date is February 14, 2016. The album is available for pre-order on the label's Bandcamp.
Courtney Barnett's critically acclaimed 2015 album, Sometimes I Sit and Think, and Sometimes I Just Sit, is available on Amazon (Vinyl, CD, MP3). You can also stream it and read our review here on Zumic.
