Editor's note: The video above contains 8 minutes of bloody gore and brutal heavy metal. Crank up the volume. Viewer discretion is advised.

Thrash outfit Anthrax have shared "Blood Eagle Wings," a track from their upcoming 11th album, For All Kings. Watch the newly released music video above, via Anthrax's YouTube.

Drummer Charlie Benante spoke with Rolling Stone about the video's theme:

We created this torture chamber, sitting below this horrible king's hall... This guy gets to play with his toys and look through the grate in the floor and see this group of people that he's essentially crushing. The idea is that this power is built on top of these people. It's brutal and there's a lot of amazing torture gags happening, but it all serves this concept that progress is brutal. Civilizations progress in a way that is violent.

The Jack Bennett-directed video is visually striking, with a few unexpected twists. The lighting and cinematography look slightly amateurish at times (maybe just stuck in the pre-HD era), but this is still an instant classic. Spoiler alert: Metal-loving comedian / actor Brian Posehn makes a cameo at the end.

For All Kings is currently available on Amazon. It is not available on streaming services like Spotify, but the band has shared lyric videos for "Breathing Lightning" and "Evil Twin."
