Toronto electro-pop artist LIGHTS straps on the acoustic guitar in the music video for her song "Meteorites." Watch above.

LIGHTS announced her upcoming album, Midnight Machines, which will include six acoustic versions of songs off her third full length, Little Machines, along with two brand new tracks. In a press release, LIGHTS talked more in depth about the album and filming of the music video:

Midnight Machines is more than just an acoustic record, it's a complete reinvention of some of the songs from Little Machines. I worked with a string section and my band to create this ultra vibey, late night version. Making the video for Meteorites was almost as interesting to work on because I had to learn the song backwards and sped up to create the slow surreality of the shots.

"Meteorites" is a blissful tune with soothing vocals, breezy guitars, and calm beats. The serene music video takes place along the coast with breathtaking views of the ocean that's filmed in a reverse effect. LIGHTS proved herself to be even more talented with the ability to lip sync backwards!

Midnight Machines is scheduled to be released on April 8, 2016. Pick it up on Amazon.
