"Hearts / Wires" begins on the mellow side with atmospheric sounds before the guitar, drums, and vocals kick in. The song bursts with moments of loud guitars and vocals, but doesn't overpower the listener with aggression.

Before the song begins, Chino talks about the track and the Fender Bass VI guitar Stephen Carpenter used on the album. Carpenter told Rolling Stone how "Hearts / Wires" reminded him of the killer in the movie Silence of the Lambs, "That song made me think of Wild Bill the whole time — psycho killer and shit. I just didn't feel it... I had to embrace my inner psycho rapist and come up with the part and get into it."

Other tracks the band has shared from the upcoming album are "Doomed User" and "Prayers / Triangles." After the track, Chino talks openly with Daniel Carter about the track listing order on the album, the song's lyrics, and influences that impacted Gore. "Prayers / Triangles" is the LP's opening track and first single released, and Chino explains that this was done on purpose because, "This is how I wanted people to hear us after being vacant for a few years."

Gore will be released April 8, 2016. Pick it up on Amazon.
