Today, punk rock icon Iggy Pop released the official music video for his single "Sunday," one of the tracks on his latest album Post Pop Depression. Watch above.

Co-written with Josh Homme, Dean Fertita, and Matt Helders, the song starts with a garage rock feel, but ends with an angelic orchestral outro — a sudden change that we've never heard in Iggy's music before. The video features Iggy's traditional crazed shirtless performance amidst the band on-stage and footage from Joshua Tree, California, where the album was recorded.

A press release from Concord Music Group has an insightful description of the music video:

This video illustrates the whole story of Post Pop Depression — from its conception to the first rehearsal and is told by Andreas Neumann who has been documenting it all the way through. Enjoy “SUNDAY” — magical, cross-country musical journey undertaken by Iggy, Josh, Dean and Matt. You seem to have fun listening to Post Pop Depression, seems like they had loads of fun recording it!

Post Pop Depression is now available. Pick it up on Amazon.
