Singer-songwriter Norah Jones has shared the first single from her upcoming sixth solo album, Day Breaks. Listen and watch the music video for "Carry On" above, courtesy of Jones' YouTube.
The song is a tender ballad with soothing organ, piano, and Norah's gentle vocals. It's a beautiful accompaniment to the music video, which sees Norah playing the song to an elderly couple that haven't lost their romantic spark.
In a statement from Blue Note Records, Norah spoke about the new record:
This new album feels full circle because I'm going back to my early influences... After the first record, I drifted away from the piano a little bit. I still played it, but was more inspired to write on guitar. I really loved playing piano on this record.
Day Breaks is scheduled to be released on October 7, 2016. Pick it up on Amazon.
Norah has also announced 2016 tour dates in support of the new album. For more music, news, and tour information about Norah Jones, check out her Zumic artist page.
