Alternative rock band Dinosaur Jr. have released their 11th studio album, Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not, through Jagjaguwar Records.

The 11-track, 46-minute LP was recorded at Bisquiteen Studio in Amherst, Massachusetts. The band members include J Mascis (guitar, vocals), Lou Barlow (bass), and Murph (drums).

Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not starts off not wasting any time in delivering the band's unique brand of indie rock that loyal fans know and love. "Goin Down" and "Tiny" deliver a 1-2 punch of Mascis' infectious distorted guitar riffs and memorable choruses. "Be a Part" mellows the energy down a notch while Mascis draws you in with his emotional vocal delivery.

One of two Lou Barlow contributions on the album, "Love Is...," feels like a natural fit. What has always helped Dinosaur Jr. stand out is their unique sound drenched in distortion, and "I Walk for Miles" is a great example. "Knocked Around" is another stand-out song on the album, going from a relaxed rhythm before kicking up the energy halfway through. The second Barlow penned track, "Left/Right," closes out the album in style.

Twenty years after the band first formed, Dinosaur Jr. are as relevant today as ever. For fans of guitar-driven rock, Give a Glimpse of What Yer Not proves to be an enjoyable album from start to finish. Songs we recommend are "Goin Down," "Tiny," "Be a Part," "I Walk for Miles," "Knocked Around," and "Mirror."
