Last night, the Rolling Stones took the stage as headliners for the 2013 Glastonbury festival. The event's coordinator, Michael Eavis, has been waiting for this to happen since the festival's inception in 1970. Last night, his dream came true. It was a dream that would be shared in absolute amazement by about one hundred thousand screaming fans.

Many are calling this one of the best versions of the arts festival to date, but more specifically, this set as being one of the greatest to happen on the stages of Glastonbury. Eavis himself mentioned that this was "the highlight of 43 years of Glastonbury".

Unfortunately, the BBC video above only captures the second half (everything that the Rolling Stones allowed to be broadcast), but it is still something to behold. It is incredible to think that each member either is in or nearing his 70's, and they still have more gusto and rock in them than many performers half their age. If this kind of set is any indication of what the Stone's have left to give, than you can bet they will be doing this for a few more years to come.

Below is the setlist from the show last night, and the broadcast starts from "Miss You".
