On September 25, Gregg Allman made his return to the stage for his Laid Back Festival at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado after having to cancel a number of shows due to pneumonia. Above, you can watch him in action with guitarist Scott Sharrard as the two perform an acoustic version of "These Days" from the event.

The song has an interesting history, having been written by Jackson Browne and first recorded by Nico in 1967. Jackson Browne and Gregg Allman both released their own versions of the song in 1973, with Browne giving credit on his version to Allman for the arrangement. Since then, it has been recorded countless times by the likes of St. Vincent, Drake, and Fountains of Wayne.

Gregg will be performing at another Laid Back Festival later this month in Georgia before heading to City Winery in New York City for a ten night residency in November.
