Preservation Hall Jazz Band, who just released That's It!, their first album of all-original music, stepped into the Paste Ruins at the 2012 Newport Folk Festival for an intimate live rendition of "A Good Gal Is Hard To Find." The stripped-down performance features two tubas holding down a toe-tapping bass line, a pencil-mustachioed sax player, and a killer clarinet solo from a man who's old enough to be a grandpa. Don't miss this excellent performance from a world-renowned jazz group.

The 2013 Newport Folk Festival will officially begin on July 26th and run through July 28th. Although Preservation Hall will be absent, this year's festival features a star-studded lineup of folk, bluegrass, and indie acts, including The Avett Brothers, The Lumineers, Beck, and many others. Friday one-day passes are still available for the festival, and you can peruse the full lineup on the official website.
