Austrian composer and musician Manu Delago shared his song "Freeze" as a YouTube video filmed live in the Austrian Alps.

The uncommon percussion instrument Delago performs on is called a Hang. It's a relatively recent invention, having been developed in 2000 by Swiss instrument makers Felix Rohner and Sabina Schärer.

Delago spoke about his music in the video premiere with Red Bull Music:

I wanted to create fresh, electronic soundscapes that are generated through live performance and therefore feel organic and human... It may initially sound like programming or production, but it's all happening there in the moment.

"Freeze" is visually as well sonically enthralling, with Delago sitting in a circle of mirrors high up in the mountains, performing on three Hanghang pans at once. Red Bull has additional insight to the video's production, sharing that it was "Filmed by 14 cameras, but without a cameraman," and done in a single take.

The video paved the way for the release of his new album, Metromonk, to be released on March 17th. It's available now on Amazon and streaming services.
