NYC synthpop band Holy Ghost! made their TV debut on Jimmy Kimmel earlier this week to support their new album Dynamics, which hit shelves yesterday. The group tore through two new tracks, "Okay" (above), and "Changing of the Guard" (below).
Though both tracks are exceedingly synth-y and disco-influenced, "Okay" is far more retro, replete with 808 drums and a chunky guitar sound that has us wondering if New Order's Bernard Sumner was behind the curtain pulling the old Singin' in the Rain trick. "Changing of the Guard" is a slinkier jam that wouldn't sound out of place on a Phoenix album, but don't worry, there are still enough synths present to make you question what decade you're in.
