"FlyLo FM" (From Grand Theft Auto 5) - Flying Lotus [Free YouTube Stream]

Of the many cool features of Grand Theft Auto 5, the inclusion of radio stations that are curated by prominent musicians might be the coolest. One such station is "FlyLo FM," an hour-long playlist picked and mixed by L.A. beatmaker Flying Lotus. You can now stream the entire thing, courtesy of YouTube.

The majority of "FlyLo FM" consists of songs by Flying Lotus himself (as well as his alter ego Captain Murphy and frequent collaborator Thundercat), but the station also features a great mix of contemporary instrumental Hip Hop and a few '90s classics. In a recent interview with Pitchfork, FlyLo explains that the makers of GTAV wanted his station "to be more like [his] live show than anything else," and so he wasn't able to feature his favorite Bone Thugs song.

The result is a smooth-flowing, bass-heavy set that begs to be played in actual cars. Whereas other, more aggressive corners of the GTAV soundtrack may lend themselves to accompany bouts of road rage and/or hooker slaying, "FlyLo FM" is what you should be bumping when you're exploring the game's vast, beautiful world.
