The Cavern Club in Liverpool, England is perhaps one of the most renowned nightclubs in the world, hosting names such as The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, The Who, and Elton John, to name a few. As of yesterday, November 7th, British folk rocker, Jake Bugg, can officially be added to that list.

The video above, courtesy of NME Magazine, features clips from the secret performance as well as an interview with the singer-songwriter where he discusses his motivation behind the show. He told NME, "You know, it's a nice thing for everyone. It's nice for me, you know it reminds me of why I really love doing it. I get to meet the fans, you know?" Surprisingly modest for a nineteen-year-old rockstar.

As part of The Cavern Club's tradition, Bugg's name was officially placed on the outside wall alongside many of the music legends who began their careers at the historic venue. He humbly replied, "That's a privilege, man, I never asked for that or thought that I'd receive such a thing. It's an honor, man. For them to want to put my silly face on the wall is pretty cool, man."

Bugg's second studio album, Shangri La, is set to release on November 18th of this year. If the anticipation is too much the bear, you can check out the official video for his most recent single, "What Doesn't Kill You," or go to iTunes if you're feeling compelled to purchase the music.
